Terms of Service

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Spencer Voorhees, the developer of DailyBlend ("we," "us," or the "Service"). By creating an account or using DailyBlend, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to create a DailyBlend account.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for your account. That means keeping your password confidential, providing accurate account information, and everything that happens under your account. If you believe someone else has accessed your account, change your password and contact us at support@dailyblendapp.com.

When you join a household, you understand that content you add to it is visible to the other members of that household, as described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Acceptable Use

DailyBlend is for personal, household use. You agree not to:

• Use the Service for anything unlawful, or to store or share content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful to others.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data, or probe, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer the Service, scrape it at scale, or use automated tools to abuse features such as recipe import.
• Resell the Service or misrepresent it as your own.
• Impersonate another person or create accounts with false information.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Your Content

You keep ownership of everything you add to DailyBlend — recipes, photos, notes, meal plans, chores, and grocery lists. We claim no ownership of your content.

So that the app can actually work, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your content — but only as needed to operate and provide the Service to you and the members of your household. This license ends when your content is deleted from the Service, except for brief periods in routine backups.

We do not use your content for advertising, and it is not used to train AI models.

5. Recipe Imports and Third-Party Content

DailyBlend lets you import recipes from web pages, YouTube videos, and photos. You are responsible for the content you import. Import recipes for your personal, household use, and respect the rights of recipe authors, publishers, and other third parties — do not import content you know you are not permitted to copy, and do not use imports to republish or redistribute someone else's work.

Imported recipes may retain a link to their source. Third-party sites and videos you import from are governed by their own terms, which are your responsibility to follow. If a rights holder notifies us of infringing content, we may remove it.

6. Sourced Discover Content and Removal Requests

DailyBlend's Discover feature includes recipes sourced from publicly available recipe websites. Sourced recipes are always attributed to and linked back to their original source; ingredient lists are factual information, and the directions we display are rewritten in our own words.

If you are the author or rights holder of content that appears in DailyBlend and would like it removed, we will honor your request — see our Content Removal page for how, or email support@dailyblendapp.com. Removal requests are acted on promptly and remove the source from future crawling as well.

7. No Medical or Dietary Advice

DailyBlend is a household organization tool, not a source of medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Features such as dietary flags, ingredient substitution suggestions, and imported recipe information are informational only and may be incomplete or inaccurate — especially when content is extracted automatically from photos or web pages.

Always verify ingredients yourself if you or anyone in your household has a food allergy, intolerance, or medical dietary requirement. Do not rely on DailyBlend's flags or substitutions for allergy or health decisions. Consult a qualified professional for medical or dietary questions.

8. The Service Is Provided “As Is”

DailyBlend is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that data will never be lost. We recommend keeping copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spencer Voorhees will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or the cost of substitute services, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) DailyBlend — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the same extent, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or fifty US dollars (USD $50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You can stop using DailyBlend at any time, and you can delete your account in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonable, we will give you notice and an opportunity to export or preserve your content before termination.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Your Content (license wind-down), disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — survive.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Washington State, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. If you use the Service from outside the United States, you are responsible for compliance with your local laws, and nothing in this section deprives you of consumer protections that mandatorily apply where you live.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and notify you in the app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of DailyBlend after updated Terms take effect means you accept them; if you do not, stop using the Service and delete your account.
